Privacy Notice
Version 2026-10-17, effective October 17, 2026
Early version for the casual scorecard trial. It describes what TourRound does today and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It is not legal advice.
This notice describes what TourRound stores about you and the people you add, and why.
Your account
When you sign in, TourRound stores your email address, your name, a link to your profile picture if your sign-in provider gives one, and your preferred language.
If you choose to add them, it also stores your phone number, home club and handicap index.
It also stores which version of the Terms of Service and this Privacy Notice you accepted, in which language, and when.
Casual rounds
A host enters the names and handicaps of the players, the course holes, each player's hole scores and, if used, shared expenses.
Players do not need an account. A round has a share link and a 6-digit code; the code is stored in a hashed form.
A round's leaderboard shows player names and scores to anyone with the link, unless the host turns it off.
Tournaments and registration
For an event you register for, the organizer receives your name, email, your answers to the registration questions, your waiver and privacy consent, and your payment status.
Card payments are made with Stripe. Card numbers are entered with Stripe and are not stored by TourRound.
How the information is used
It is used to run rounds and events, to show scores and leaderboards, and to send emails about events you registered for or were invited to, such as tee times, payments and invitations.
TourRound also records technical errors and basic usage so it can be kept working and secure.
Who can see it
A host or organizer sees the information for the rounds and events they run. Public leaderboards show names and scores.
TourRound relies on service providers to host the app and its database, to process payments, to send email and to monitor errors and usage.
Cookies and your device
TourRound uses cookies to keep you signed in, to protect forms from forgery and to remember your language.
The scorecard keeps your scores on your device until they are sent, so you can keep scoring with a weak signal.
Your choices
TourRound does not yet have a self-service way to delete or export your data. Contact details for privacy requests will be published here before the service is opened to the public.
Periods for keeping data have not been finalised.
